The Aussie is not only one of the oldest models in our range, but it is also one of the most popular. In old KangaROOS commercials from the early 1980s, it was even referred to as the "Awesome Aussie."
Despite its classic structure with various design options, the Aussie Athlux II is presented in understated colors. From a materials perspective, we have maintained the sporty aspect by using lightweight nylon for the almost monochromatic base of the upper. The use of rich nubuck for the overlap of the heel and mudguard adds a luxurious touch to the material design of this silhouette.
This material also meets ecological standards, as the nubuck leather comes from a tannery that has been awarded the Silver Medal by the LWG. The tongue is made of breathable mesh material and features a nice woven KangaROOS label. The lining is also made of mesh, ensuring a comfortable fit. The outsole is made of abrasion-resistant rubber, providing good grip.
Upper material:
Lining: 100% recycled polyester
Insole: 100% recycled polyester
Footbed: 95% recycled PU (removable footbed).
Outsole: EVA + rubber (30% recycled).
Laces: 100% recycled polyester.
