The Aussie is not only one of the oldest models in our range, but it is also one of the most popular. In old KangaROOS commercials from the early 1980s, it was even referred to as the "Awesome Aussie."
Despite its classic structure with various design options, the Aussie Athluxe II is presented in understated colors. From a materials perspective, we have maintained the sporty aspect by using lightweight nylon for the almost monochromatic base of the shaft. The use of rich nubuck for the overlap of the heel and mudguard adds a luxurious touch to the material design of this silhouette.
This material also meets ecological standards, as the nubuck leather comes from a tannery awarded the Silver Medal by the LWG. The tongue made of breathable mesh material features a beautiful woven KangaROOS label. The lining is also made of mesh, providing a comfortable fit. The outsole is made of abrasion-resistant rubber, ensuring good grip.
Upper material:

Footbed: 95% recycled PU (removable footbed).
Outsole: EVA + rubber (30% recycled).
