Usage note: For initial use, surgical steel should not be used as the alloy contains bound nickel components that can be released by wound salts from freshly pierced skin. We recommend using titanium G23 or bioplast for the first use. However, once piercings are fully healed, surgical steel can be worn without concern, as no nickel is released and allergies are rare.
