Product details
A belt to hold everything together - The Forester Belt was designed for comfortably carrying bushcraft tools in the woods. A special attachment system on the belt loops keeps everything under control.
It complements the Helikon-Tex range of carrying systems for bushcraft. The Forester Bushcraft Belt shares one feature with tactical belts: it can be worn over clothing and easily replaces typical outdoor bags or small backpacks. The Forester Bushcraft Belt pairs well with: SERE Pouch, Water Canteen Pouch, Compass/Survival Pouch, or a Survival Water Filter Bag. Together, they create a comfortable environment for bushcraft enthusiasts.
A belt with a storied history - The origin of the Forester Bushcraft Belt dates back to the 1950s and the military conflict in Malaya. At that time, SAS soldiers used nylon straps with clips as tactical belts, derived from straps used to secure parachute drop loads. Over time, most British special forces (SAS, SBS), Marines, and paratroopers began to adopt the same solutions. The strap with a roll pin buckle was much better than other options. It was easy to adjust and conformed to the user's body. More complex was the STABO evacuation harness from the Vietnam War and its predecessor, the McGuire harness. It consisted of suspenders with a belt made from nylon parachute straps and clip buckles similar to the British ones. Equipment elements were attached to the belt: ammunition pouches, water canteens, grenades, etc.
