The Charleston Full Contrast Seamed Stockings with playful high heel, made from two differently sized diamonds, are authentic nylon stockings and are knitted flat on original cotton machines. Afterward, the stockings are carefully sewn together by hand, giving them their classic seam that imparts the typical touch of the 1950s to the nylons. There are only a handful of manufacturers left worldwide that produce seamed stockings in this traditional way. One of them is Gio from England.

Here’s how to recognize original nylon stockings:

Real nylons are made from 100% nylon and are therefore hardly stretchable, meaning they are non-elastic.
The seam always starts at the toe of the stocking and goes up to the fold point of the double welt.
There is always a finishing hole in the double welt.
