The label Flamingos Life was founded in 2015. Their goal is to keep the ecological footprint as low as possible. The Flamingos Life sneakers are produced in small workshops in Spain, within a 40 km radius of Elche, as well as in select models in Portugal. A lot of effort has been put into developing sustainable and resource-saving materials. The upper material of the Wairoa sneaker is made from Apple Waste, which is waste from apple harvesting. This is a sustainable alternative to using leather. The material used by Flamingos Life is very similar in appearance and feel to leather, but is 100% vegan. The removable insole made from recycled materials, covered with natural textile fabric, provides excellent comfort throughout the day. The profiled outsole is made from natural rubber.
