Robust winter hat for truly cold and windy days. Made from extra durable, wind- and water-resistant G-1000 Heavy Duty. The lining made of short-pile synthetic fur feels pleasantly soft against the skin. The brim protects during snowfall, and the ear flaps keep cheeks and chin nice and warm. The ear flaps are held together with a snap closure under the chin. A pair of additional, smaller ear flaps with "hearing holes" allow sounds to pass through and can be folded up and secured with a button. In cold winds, they can be lowered. G-1000 is a durable and adaptable material from Fjällräven. The dense fabric is wind- and water-resistant and very robust, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 is made from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which is treated with a thin layer of Greenland wax. The wax provides the material with additional protection against dirt, wind, and moisture and can be easily applied thicker or washed out as needed. In addition to wind and weather, G-1000 also protects against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites.
