In 2017, the Czech Mint launched its first investment coin featuring the Czech Lion. The coin is available in denominations of 10 oz, 5 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/25 oz. The national emblem, the Bohemian Lion, has adorned the reverse side of the coins ever since, symbolizing pride, history, and national identity. We are pleased to offer you the two limited gold editions in proof (PP) from the 2025 vintage – in 1 oz and 1/4 oz (philoro exclusive product). The proof finish is one of the most elaborate minting processes, characterized by brilliant mirror-like surfaces and exceptional detail accuracy. Each coin comes in a luxurious coin case with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The mintage is strictly limited to only 500 pieces. The newly designed motif features the Czech Lion in an impressive, realistic depiction, crowned with the traditional Wenceslas crown. It is complemented by a stylized eagle, symbolically uniting the historical coats of arms of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia. Alongside the inscription "Česká republika," the fine weight and purity "1/4 oz Au .9999" are also visible. The obverse side of the coin displays the coin portrait of King Charles III, along with the minting year "2025," the name of the issuing country "Niue," and the denomination of "10 Dollars" (NZD).
