We are now pleased to present the latest coin in this beautiful and successful series, the Snow Leopard. Snow leopards are big cats that inhabit the high mountains of Central Asia. They are characterized by their dense, white fur with black spots and their long, bushy tails. Snow leopards are solitary and elusive animals that live at altitudes of up to 5,400 meters. Like the Mongolian Falcon from last year's edition, they are also endangered species. Poaching, habitat loss, and climate change are factors that contribute to their vulnerability. The two sides of the Snow Leopard are captured on this extraordinary coin in polished plate and with Ultra High Relief. This is particularly sought after by collectors and is among the most elaborate manufacturing processes for a coin. The worldwide mintage of this copper coin is just 5,000 pieces. The design side of this coin features the head of the "Irbis" in a frontal view looking upwards, with its profile struck in ultra-high relief. The Smartminting® relief extends all the way to the edge of the coin! The reverse side of the coin shows a paw on a tree stump. In the background, a unique geometric pattern is embossed with the hidden year "2024," as well as the face value of the coin, which is 250 Togrog (the national currency of Mongolia).
