This redesigned generation features a flatter silhouette, complemented by a toe area inspired by field sports and retro color lines. The shoe has been updated with a lightweight design that includes a modified cup sole construction, providing superior comfort and enhanced cushioning. Its legendary style mimics the aesthetics of a retro basketball sneaker, enhanced by our nostalgic ASICS branding, such as the tiger stripes on the side panels and the ASICS logo on the heel. The retro basketball aesthetic of the Japan S shoe is further complemented by iconic design details tailored for the court, which were worn by basketball players in the 1980s.
