Amethyst was on her way to the Temple of Diana when Bacchus made advances towards the young maiden. She rejected him, which angered Bacchus so much that he unleashed two tigers upon her. To protect her, Diana transformed Amethyst into a clear quartz crystal. Bacchus, ashamed of himself, poured his wine over the crystal, turning it violet. Or perhaps it is a quartz crystal with traces of irradiated iron?

Followers of Eastern meditation philosophies believe that amethyst connects with the etheric chakra, the crown chakra, and the third eye, allowing access to higher energy dimensions. This is said to enhance intuition and self-awareness.

Combined with the supposedly grounding lava stone, which is said to bring forth inner strength and filter out negative and distracting thoughts, this bracelet is a valuable companion on your path to enlightenment.

The porous nature of the lava stone also makes it perfect for aromatherapy. Just add a few drops of essential oils to its surface, which will then seep into the holes. The stones will release their fragrance throughout the day as the oil dries.

The 8 mm beads of this men's bracelet are strung on a sturdy nylon cord and secured with a braided clasp featuring the Arkai logo.

If you are unfamiliar with this type of braided clasp, the trick to tightening it is to place one end at the base of your thumb and hold it with your pinky or ring finger. With your free hand, pull on the other end to tighten the bracelet around your wrist.
