Instructions for use | Sweet millet casserole: Bring 1 litre of milk to the boil with 1 level teaspoon of salt, stir in 250 g golden millet and cook over a low heat for 30 minutes. Mix 70g sugar, 1 grated lemon peel, 30g sultanas, 2 egg yolks, 3 tablespoons grated nuts and 2 beaten egg whites into the cooled porridge. Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish and bake for approx. 45 mins. The porridge can also be filled into the baking dish in layers with steamed apple slices or other fruit. Store in a cool, dry place at 10 - 15 °C. |
