Terra Sana Rice paper

You can use organic rice paper to make fresh, low-calorie summer rolls. Place the sheets one after the other in lukewarm water for 5-10 seconds. Fill them with rice noodles and vegetables and dip them in your favourite Japanese sauce. This way you can prepare a fancy starter, a healthy lunch or a light dinner in no time. Baking or frying is a little more difficult, but also possible. A super quick and easy way to prepare gluten-free summer or spring rolls. The rice paper expert in Vietnam makes the sheets super thin by thinly spreading, steaming and drying rice flour, salt and water. This used to be done on woven bamboo trays. You can still see this diamond pattern in today's rice paper.

Preparation:
Cut the desired filling into julienne (narrow strips). Dip the rice sheets one by one in lukewarm/warm (not boiling or for more than 5-10 seconds) water. Place the filling in the centre of the rice sheet. Fold the sides inwards and roll up tightly.

Tips for the filling:
Carrot strips or slices, spring onions, capsicum, cucumber, avocado, red pepper, sprouts, mango, coriander, mint, (glass) noodles, sushi ginger.

Storage:
Once opened, store in an airtight container in a dry, dark place at room temperature (max. 20 °C).

Ingredients:
White rice, salt, water.
