Starwax Chimney cleaning log

The Starwax chimney cleaning log for stoves and fireplaces is recommended for cleaning at the beginning and end of the heating season or for bi-monthly maintenance. The log contains an active cleaning core that dissolves soot and breaks down tar residues. This log increases the heat output of your installation and is suitable for fireplaces (open, closed, with stainless steel pipe) as well as for pellet or wood-burning stoves. The curing starts immediately; the active cleaning core is released within about one minute. It is odourless.

During chimney cleaning, the inner walls of the chimney or its pipes are cleaned by removing soot and deposits so that the entire length of the flue remains clear. Chimney sweeping (with a sweeper) is a legal requirement. Chemical chimney cleaning does not replace chimney sweeping, but is complementary: chimney sweeping makes it possible to check that the pipes are free of obstructions, but cannot completely remove soot, tar and boiler scale. Chemical, catalyser-based chimney cleaning, combined with chimney sweeping, allows you to use the chimney in complete safety.

Not suitable for pellet stoves, granulate stoves, if contraindicated by the manufacturer.
