Suitable for cooking and frying. Due to its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, it is particularly well-suited for heating. Cold-pressed oils with a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids are healthy as long as they are not heated. When heating oil, polyunsaturated fatty acids break down and form toxic degradation products and free radicals. Make sure to heat only refined vegetable oils that have a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, as these remain stable when heated and do not produce toxic substances.

In 1997, Soyana decided to use only High-Oleic Organic Sunflower Oil in the production of all heated foods to protect consumers, as this oil from newly bred sunflowers contains about 75% monounsaturated fatty acids, making it particularly suitable for heating. High-Oleic Organic Sunflower Oil also contains about 50 mg of Vitamin E per 100 g of oil, which means that 2.5 tablespoons of High-Oleic Organic Sunflower Oil (20 g) provide the daily requirement of Vitamin E (10 mg). Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and captures free radicals.

To this day, Soyana is likely the only manufacturer of milk or meat alternatives that does not simply use regular organic sunflower oil, which contains about 23% monounsaturated and 60% polyunsaturated fatty acids, as if this oil were not heated. Soyana thus adheres to the Soyana quality: "Love for 1000 details" in food production.
