Product details

Sonam's Tsampa is the Tibetan staple food made from barley. You eat it as a snack, for breakfast or dinner. Sportsmen and hikers should definitely put it on their staple food list as well. Tsampa is barley that is carefully roasted and ground, and you can prepare the nutty tasting tsampa with water, milk, tea, yoghurt or curd, depending on your preference. You can eat it sweet, salty, as a thin porridge or soup. In any preparation, bring out the full tsampa flavour with a little butter. The preparation of Sonam's tsampa is very short. The barley product is also known and popular in Ecuador, the Canary Islands, Finland, Eritrea, Japan and India.
