In 1887, Luigi Bordoni took over the oil mill from his father-in-law and expanded the business. He focused on producing flaxseed oil for food use, transforming the agricultural laboratory into a production facility. In 1951, the first continuously operating bio-refinery was established with the help of an efficient production concept. In 1988, a new processing step was even integrated into oil production: the birth of the cold pressing method.
