Rapunzel Troy lenses

The wonderfully creamy cooking lentils are characterized by their strong, spicy aroma. They are cultivated in the wetlands of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain by farmer Carlos Huelano Valero. The area, designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1980, serves as a habitat for many bird species. The ecological cultivation of the lentils promotes biodiversity and provides a food source for the birds.

Production: After harvesting, the lentils are hulled, cleaned, and packaged.

Usage: For stews, soups, and casseroles, as a side dish, as well as for sauces or purees.

Preparation instructions: Cook 1 cup of Troja plate lentils with about 3 cups of water for 30 minutes on low heat. Salt only after cooking.
