Sardines just before Rome – this canned product is a delicacy!

The only canned sardine producer in Italy uses only the sardines that are caught directly off its doorstep in the Mediterranean. Pollastrini is located in Anzio, a port city near Rome. Since 1889, the company has been preserving sardines in olive oil.

It all began where it always begins: by the sea. There, Nero built his enormous villa and a harbor from which fleets of fishing boats sailed to and from Anzio for centuries. A tradition that the founder Pollastrini has kept alive and strong in his heart, full of blue and rich in the sea. The family’s credo is respect:
