Beef gelatin in bloom sheets for human consumption. Beef sheet gelatin is made exclusively from beef hides. Sheet weight 2.5 g, 170 Blooms - 10 sheets. Gelatin contains 90% protein and is free from additives. Gelatin is a natural additive that provides structure, acts as a true gelling agent, and melts in the mouth. Gelatin enhances the protein content of preparations without increasing the caloric value and without adding sugar or fat. Gelatin develops flavors and extends shelf life.
Usage tips:
- Soak gelatin in cold water for 5-10 minutes to allow it to swell.
- Meanwhile, heat the liquid you wish to gelatinize or thicken.
- Then stir the swollen gelatin into the hot liquid without boiling it.
- Shake until the gelatin has dissolved.
- Allow to cool in the refrigerator. The dish will be ready to eat within 30 minutes to 4 hours.
The ratios depend on the recipes:
- 2 to 4 weight-% for creams and toppings
- 7 to 9 % for jelly eggs.
The gelling power of gelatin is measured in 'Blooms'. The higher the Bloom number on your beef gelatin label, the greater its gelling power. Ingredients: Gelatin from beef. May contain traces of soy, milk, egg, gluten, nuts, and sulfites.
