Ovomaltine was developed by Dr Albert Wander in Switzerland in 1904 as an important article in healthy nutrition. The malty drink powder with vitamins and minerals was already present at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles as an easily digestible source of energy for the athletes.
