Breathable, waterproof clothing can quickly become soaked and wet from the inside in humid and wet conditions. When the outer fabric absorbs water, the clothing can lose up to 70% of its breathability. The durable water repellent (DWR) feature of your jacket's outer fabric must be maintained to ensure wearing comfort. Once the effect diminishes, it can be renewed with Nikwax TX.Direct®. Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On is easy and quick to apply, and its high-level durable water repellent (DWR) property forms during air drying. Tumble drying becomes unnecessary, saving energy and protecting delicate, older clothing from heat. Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On has been specifically developed and optimized for breathable, waterproof clothing. It leaves a flexible, water-repellent layer on individual fibers, allowing moisture to escape through evaporation while maintaining breathability. The spray impregnation allows for targeted treatment of high-wear areas (e.g., elbows and jacket seams) without compromising the moisture-wicking properties of the inner lining.
