Product details
The sintered activated carbon block filter CTOS-10CF from Naturewater removes unwanted substances such as chlorine, rust, pesticides, pharmaceutical residues, and organic impurities from water. Additionally, it reduces the concentration of heavy metals like lead and copper.
Inside the cartridge, there is a sintered activated carbon core made from various raw materials such as coal, wood, or coconut shells. These raw materials undergo a thermal process where they are heated and activated with hot steam at over 800 °C. The high temperatures cause the pores to open, and some of the carbon in the raw material is gasified. As a result, a porous activated carbon is left behind.
Activated carbon is known for its high efficiency and is used industrially, for example. The water used in these applications is first treated with activated carbon before it is incorporated into food, as activated carbon works very reliably and filters out most of the toxins.
