Naturata Lump sugar raw cane sugar organic

Naturata cube sugar is made from cane sugar sourced from biodynamic cultivation. It features a breaking point, allowing the cubes to be easily divided.

Production:
Cane sugar is cultivated by organic farmers in Brazil or India. The climatic conditions in South and Central America, as well as in India, are optimal for growing sugar cane. Since sugar cane must be processed immediately after harvesting, Naturata sources the raw material from regions where a sugar mill is capable of producing the specific type of sugar. After harvesting, the sugar cane is stripped of its leaves, chopped, crushed multiple times between simple rollers, and then pressed. The fibrous parts are filtered out. After purification, the sugar cane juice is concentrated at low temperatures and under slight vacuum. The highly concentrated syrup is mixed with a few crystals of unrefined sugar, allowing the sugar to crystallize. Once the sugar crystals reach a certain size, they are centrifuged away from the remaining syrup, dried, sifted, and packaged. The molasses content is therefore lower than that of Sucanat whole cane sugar. The smaller crystals and lighter color compared to Demerara sugar result from a longer processing time. For cube sugar, the cane sugar is sprayed with drinking water and then filled into a mold. The moist cubes are then dried in a drying tower with warm air (approximately 65 °C) and packaged.
