Naturata Beet sugar organic

Naturata Beet Sugar, made from sugar beets grown in German agriculture, is a semi-white sugar. No refining process takes place.

Production: During the production of beet sugar, the organic sugar beets are first washed, chopped, and boiled. The beet juice is then purified and concentrated into syrup. Some added sugar crystals help the sugar crystallize from the concentrate. The molasses is subsequently separated using centrifuges. Unlike cane molasses, this has an unpleasant and overly intense taste, which is why it must be completely removed - hence the beet sugar is white. However, this process also removes substances such as vitamins and minerals. Nevertheless, beet sugar is classified as a "semi-white sugar," meaning it is not refined. Refined sugar (sugar of the highest purity) would result if, after the final processing step, there was a further treatment with steam (dissolving) and the syrup was boiled, centrifuged, and crystallized again.
