Naturata Atlantic Sea Salt with Iodine Algae Organic

Due to the naturally bound iodine in seaweed, Naturata sea salt with iodine-rich algae can make an important contribution to daily iodine intake. With an average salt consumption of 6 g per day, Naturata sea salt with iodine-rich algae can cover 60% of the daily intake recommended by the German Nutrition Society.

Special features: It is not refined or bleached, thus remaining particularly natural. Thanks to a high drying degree, it retains its flowability and does not clump, meaning that anti-caking agents and flow aids are not used. Sea salt is not an agricultural product and is therefore not regulated under the EU Organic Regulation. Consequently, sea salt is not available in organic quality.

Production: The sea salt comes from a region in the eastern Algarve. It is still produced traditionally and manually: seawater is channeled into clay-packed basins near the coast and evaporates there through sunlight. It is cleaned of stones and impurities using sieves, ground to the appropriate salt crystal size, and filled without further processing steps. The iodine-rich algae are specially cultivated in organic quality and come from a craft business in Spain.
