Moltein PRO 1.5 is a food for special medical purposes designed for dietary management in cases of malnutrition and/or age- and disease-related muscle loss (sarcopenia). With 21 g of protein per 100 ml (serving), Moltein Pro has the highest protein density and the smallest drinking volume. In addition to fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, Moltein Pro contains 5 g of the essential amino acid leucine and high-quality whey protein for maximum stimulation of muscle protein synthesis. Instructions for use | The Swiss Federal Commission on Nutrition recommends a protein intake of 1.0-1.2 g protein per kilogramme of body mass for healthy older people. For a 70kg man, this means approx. 85g of protein per day. It is best to spread the protein intake over three meals with a high protein and high leucine content. For sick or frail people, the recommendation is even higher at 1.2-1.5g protein per kilogramme of body mass. |
