Product details

Potash is used as a leavening agent for various flat baked goods such as biscuits, biscuits and gingerbread. It ensures that even heavy doughs rise nicely. The difference to yeast or sourdough is that the dough rises more in width than in height. Just like cornflour, potash must be dissolved in water, milk, egg white or cream. This distributes the potash better in the dough.
