Teriyaki is a classic of Japanese cuisine. The term Teriyaki is composed of "Teri," a word that means shine, and "yaki," which refers to grilling or frying. To achieve an appetizing shine on dishes, traditional teriyaki sauces use sugar or caramel. Lima's organic teriyaki version contains Mirin and rice syrup, in line with LaSelva's nutritional philosophy, to achieve this glossy effect.
Usage: This sweet soy sauce is ideal as a marinade for tofu, seitan, and tempeh, but it is also excellent for seasoning vegetable, rice, and noodle dishes, as well as for preparing exotic salad dressings.
