Product details

It adds shine to soups and gives sauces a silky, non-floury texture without affecting their flavor. Kuzu is an excellent substitute for industrial thickeners. It is ideal for thickening soups, sauces, and desserts, but can also be used, as in Japan, for its crispy effect: simply sprinkle it over vegetables or tofu before frying, and they will be enveloped in a golden, crispy coating. To thicken a sauce, always dilute the kuzu with a cold liquid and add it towards the end of the cooking time.

Ingredients and instructions for use

Ingredients
Kuzu.
Instructions for use
Kuzu is ideal for thickening soups, sauces and desserts, but can also be used, as in Japan, for its ability to make dishes crispy: All you need to do is sprinkle the vegetables or tofu with kuzu - before baking them, for example - if you want to create a golden-brown crispy crust! To thicken a sauce, always dissolve the kuzu in a cold liquid and add it to the sauce at the end of the preparation process.
