Enjoy our sardines. The first sardines of the season are caught between June and July by Concarn fishermen on the Atlantic coast to maintain a sustainable marine ecosystem. The fresh sardines are carefully selected to fill these limited edition tins. The can was filled with 2021 fish to celebrate the 60th anniversary.

For all oil-based products, it is recommended to age the product to obtain a candied fish in the enclosed juice.

In June 1959, Jacques Gonidec and his parents decided to start their own business. They set up shop in a small workshop in the Passage-Lanriec, behind the Ville-Close. Les 'Mouettes d'Arvor', (named after the football club where Jacques Gonidec the second played) started. In 1990, Jacques Gonidec (3rd generation) decided to continue the adventure. In 1995, the 'Mouettes d'Arvor' moved away. A new production facility Conserverie Gonidec at the entrance of Concarneau now meets European standards and the claim to combine modernity and tradition. Over the years, the range of sardines, tuna and mackerel has expanded. Many specialities and new flavours have been added to the traditional recipes. The same know-how accompanies the production of these new products. Quality - the order of the day. This constant striving for top quality products is reflected in the selection of fish and in all stages of production. Sardines, tuna and mackerel are processed in the traditional way and preserved by hand. The Gonidec cannery is also a very innovative company, which was the first to start producing limited edition tins in 1996.
