MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. The MCT oil is of purely plant origin and consists of a mixture of triglycerides of saturated fatty acids, primarily caprylic acid (octanoic acid) and capric acid (decanoic acid). These fatty acids are derived from coconut oil, which is naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids. This concentrated form enhances the positive properties of MCTs. MCT oils are especially popular among athletes and in ketogenic diets. Due to its high energy density, performance can be improved, not only in sports.
Recommended use: For cold dishes, salads, beverages, smoothies, or shakes, the oil is ideal without flavor. Simply add a tablespoon to your meal.
