Dark Muscovado is a natural unrefined cane sugar that is traditionally produced from sugarcane in Mauritius. This dark brown, soft moist sugar has a slightly sticky texture and offers a wide range of flavors from caramel to a subtle hint of licorice due to its aromatic syrup residues. Dark Muscovado adds depth of flavor to a strong espresso and enhances the taste in marinades, savory sauces, chutneys, and chocolates. Due to its natural state, moist sugar can dry out. If the sugar has become too hard, simply place a damp cloth over it overnight, and the sugar will soften again. Package contents: 500 g.
