Product details
The valuable honey from the Manuka bush (Leptospermum scoparium), related to the Australian tea tree, is used in New Zealand not only as a delicacy but also traditionally for external and internal applications. In recent years, this high-quality natural product has gained recognition in Europe through media reports and research, including studies at TU Dresden. It has been determined that the unique properties of certain Manuka honeys are primarily due to a compound called Methylglyoxal (MGO), which is present in this organic Manuka honey at a minimum concentration of 250 mg/kg. To meet the high demand for quality organic Manuka honey, HOYER GmbH has entered into an exclusive partnership with the traditional New Zealand beekeeping company TranzAlpineHoney NZ Ltd. Founded in 1910, TranzAlpine has been controlled and certified according to the "biogro" guidelines for organic beekeeping since 1993.
