The filter, with a capacity of approximately 400 liters at a water hardness of 17° dGH, operates in five stages: First, the pre-filtration removes coarse particles like sand and dirt. Then, the activated carbon pre-filtration eliminates natural impurities (e.g., from the household water supply). Next, the ion exchange resin reduces substances like lime and heavy metals while adding up to 35 mg/l of magnesium and up to 3 mg/l of zinc. After that, the activated carbon filtration removes substances responsible for unpleasant taste and odor (e.g., chlorine). Finally, the fine filtration reduces the finest particles. The result is completely pure and healthy water directly from the tap. The filter is compatible with the GROHE Blue Home, GROHE Blue Professional, and GROHE Blue Pure water systems and is easy to replace: simply unscrew the old filter, insert the GROHE cleaning cartridge, start the cleaning process, and then replace it with the new filter.
