Cloves are the dried flower buds of the tropical clove tree and are one of the most aromatic spices in the world. Their intense, spicy-hot flavour with a slightly sweet note makes them indispensable in the kitchen - whether for Christmas biscuits, aromatic mulled wines or hearty meat and stewed dishes. The cloves come from the sun-kissed islands of the Moluccas archipelago in Indonesia, where they are hand-picked and gently dried.
