Preparation:
This package contains: 375 g cake mix for the batter, 25 g cocoa mix, 75 g cocoa-based icing. You will also need: a loaf pan (25 x 11 cm), some fat, and a little wheat flour. Just add: 150 g soft margarine or butter, 3 eggs (size M), 100 ml milk, and 1 tablespoon of milk for the dark batter.
1. Prepare and mix the batter: Grease and flour the loaf pan. Preheat the oven. Top/bottom heat: about 180 °C, convection: about 160 °C. Place the cake mix for the batter in a mixing bowl, add margarine or butter, eggs, and 100 ml milk. Mix everything briefly on the lowest setting, then on the highest setting for about 3 minutes until a smooth batter forms.
2. Pour into the pan and bake: Pour 2/3 of the batter into the loaf pan. Stir the cocoa mix and 1 tablespoon of milk into the remaining batter. Spread the dark batter over the light batter and swirl both layers with a fork to create a marble pattern. Place the pan on the rack in the oven. Position: lower third, baking time: about 60 minutes. After about 15 minutes of baking, make a lengthwise cut about 1 cm deep down the center of the cake with a sharp knife.
3. Icing: Let the cake sit in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack. Bring water to a boil in a pot, remove from heat, place the icing bag inside, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Dry the bag, knead it well, and cut it open. Pour the icing over the cake, spread it with a knife, and let it set.
