Another cake classic that is easy to make and guaranteed to succeed with the Dr. Oetker lemon cake mix. The wonderfully fresh lemon flavor and the fine glaze make the Dr. Oetker lemon cake a favorite among young and old alike. Tip: You can also bake delicious lemon muffins with the lemon cake mix! Preparation is the same as for the cake, baking time is 25-30 minutes. Yields 12 muffins.

2 tablespoons hot water.

Ingredients and instructions for use

Ingredients
Baking mix (WHEAT flour, sugar, WHEAT STARCH, raising agents (E 450, E 500), rice starch, natural lemon flavour, emulsifiers (E 475, E 471, E 433), salt), glaze mix (sugar, modified starch, acidity regulator (E 330), natural lemon flavour). May contain: (MILK, EGG, NUTS).
Instructions for use
You also add: 1 dl milk, 150g butter (margarine) soft, 3 eggs, 2 tbsp hot water. For a 25cm cake tin. 1. prepare and make the batter: Grease and flour the cake tin. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan oven 160°C). Place the cake mix in a mixing bowl, add the softened butter (margarine), eggs and milk. Mix with a mixer on the highest setting for about 3 minutes until smooth. 2. fill the baking tin and bake: pour the batter into the tin, smooth it out and bake in the lower third of the oven for 50-60 minutes. After about 15 minutes baking time, cut lengthways into the centre about 1 cm deep with a sharp knife. Finish baking. 3. glaze: Leave the baked cake in the tin for 10 minutes, carefully remove from the tin and place on a cake rack. Stir the glaze mixture with approx. 2 tbsp hot water until smooth and spread evenly over the still warm cake. Store in a cool, dry place.
