Preparation:

This package contains: 415 g of baking mix for the dough, 55 g of chocolate flakes, 15 g of decorative sugar. Additionally, you will need: a springform pan (Ø 26 cm), e.g., Dr. Oetker baking paper. Just add: 200 g of whipped cream, 3 eggs (size M).

1. Prepare: Place a sheet of baking paper in the springform pan. Preheat the oven. Top/bottom heat: about 160 °C, convection: about 140 °C. Dr. Oetker's test kitchen recommends baking the cake with top/bottom heat.

2. Prepare the dough: Place the baking mix for the dough in a mixing bowl. Add the cream and eggs, and mix briefly on low speed, then on high speed for 3 minutes until smooth. Gently fold in the chocolate flakes. Pour the dough into the pan and smooth the top. Sift half of the decorative sugar directly onto the dough.

3. Bake: Place the pan on the rack in the oven. Shelf position: lower third, baking time: about 45-50 minutes. After 45 minutes, check for doneness. For this, insert a wooden skewer into the center of the cake. If the skewer comes out dry and no batter sticks to it, the cake is done. Carefully loosen and remove the springform rim with the help of a table knife. Allow the cake to cool on the springform base on a wire rack. Turn the cake out onto a kitchen board or flat plate lined with baking paper and gently peel off the baked-on baking paper. Place a cake plate on top of the cake and invert it back. Before serving, sprinkle with the remaining decorative sugar.
