Preparation

This package contains: 300 g baking mix for the crust, 270 g topping mix, 10 g decorative sugar. Additionally, you will need: springform pan (Ø 26 cm), some fat, and a bit of wheat flour. Just add: 250 g soft butter (or 100 g margarine and 150 g butter), 4 eggs (size M), 500 g quark (low-fat), 300 g yogurt.

1. Prepare and make the crust: Preheat the oven. Top/bottom heat: about 180 °C, convection: about 160 °C. Grease the springform pan. Place the baking mix for the crust in a mixing bowl, add 100 g of butter or margarine and 1 egg. Mix everything with a mixer (whisk attachments) on the lowest setting until crumbly. Spread 2/3 of the crumbs on the bottom of the springform pan using a spoon and press down to form a base. Knead the remaining crumbs into a smooth dough and shape into a roll on a lightly floured surface. Place the dough roll as a rim on the crust and press it against the pan to create a 3 cm high edge.

2. Topping: Melt 150 g of butter. Place the topping mix in a mixing bowl. Add 3 eggs, quark, and yogurt. Mix everything with a mixer (whisk attachments) on the lowest setting until smooth. Stir in the melted butter on the lowest setting. Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth the top.

3. Baking: Place the pan on the rack in the oven. Position: lower third, baking time: about 55 minutes. Allow the cake to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Only then, use a knife to loosen the cake from the pan. Sprinkle decorative sugar just before serving.
