Fusilli originate from Campania and belong to the family of short, straight pasta. In the past, Fusilli were handmade using a technique passed down from generation to generation. A strand of spaghetti was skillfully wound around a knitting needle. The ability to perform this technique is reminiscent of that of spinners, and the term "Fusillo" comes from "Fuso" (spindle), the tool used by spinners. This pasta pairs particularly well with meat and fish sauces or with ricotta-based side dishes. It is also perfect for vegetable sauces made with tomato sauce, bell peppers, eggplants, olives, and capers. Available in 450 g and 2.27 kg packages.
