Instructions for use
Recipe: Tamarind date chutney Serve your guests "sweet and sour". A dip that is just right for Indian starters such as pakoras, papadams or samosas, but also goes well with many other dishes. Ingredients: 100 g tamarind paste 200 g dates, finely diced ¼ teaspoon cumin, ground 1 teaspoon rock salt 1 slice fresh ginger 1 teaspoon coriander, ground approx. 100 ml water Palm or Sharkara sugar Simmer the tamarind paste and date cubes with the water and spices for approx. 15 mins. over a low heat. Add a little water if necessary. Then leave to cool for a while, puree and season to taste with palm or sharkara sugar, salt and chilli. Finally, sprinkle a few date cubes on top.
