Brita Maxtra+ Filterkartusche

The BRITA water filter cartridge MAXTRA+ is the heart of water filtration and fits all BRITA filter jugs (except Classic jugs). The filter cartridge reliably reduces the hardness of the water as well as odor- and taste-disturbing substances such as chlorine and metals like lead and copper that may occur due to household plumbing. This protects your household appliances, such as kettles and coffee machines, effectively from limescale buildup. Additionally, you quickly get great-tasting water for preparing tea and coffee, cooking, and as a refreshing thirst quencher.

The tap water goes through three filtration stages. First, the finest particles are retained by a super-fine fleece fabric, then the water passes through the filter mixture, which consists of tiny activated carbon pearls and ion exchangers. The activated carbon pearls are made from natural coconut shells and specifically trap chlorine and other odor- and taste-disturbing substances. The ion exchangers reduce the hardness of the water. One filter cartridge is sufficient for 100 liters of filtered water or 4 weeks.
