Biovegan Rye sourdough liquid organic

Matured in barrels using traditional methods, Biovegan Rye Sourdough Liquid in organic quality with added yeast offers a typical sour taste and is ready to bake immediately.

Ingredients for 2 loaves:

• 500 g wheat flour or semolina
• 500 g rye flour or semolina
• 2 packets of Biovegan Master Baking Yeast (14 g)
• 750 ml lukewarm water
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp sugar
• some fat for the baking pan

Preparation:
Mix half of the flour with the yeast, salt, and sugar thoroughly. Add 750 ml of water and stir to a smooth dough. Add the contents of the packet and mix everything well. Gradually add the remaining flour and let the dough rise covered in a warm place for 60 minutes. Knead the dough vigorously and let it rise again covered in 2 greased pans for another 30 minutes. Bake the loaves in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 60 minutes with a bowl of water. Turn the loaves out and let them cool on a wire rack.

150 g (for 1 kg of flour)

Tip:
The opened packet of Biovegan Rye Sourdough Liquid can be stored tightly closed in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Note:
The liquid sourdough cannot be used to create a basic starter. The sourdough alone does not have leavening power. For 1 kg of flour, 2 packets of Biovegan Master Baking Yeast (14 g) are required.
