From December to March, sun-ripened olives are harvested and processed using cold extraction. These olives come from countries such as Spain or Portugal. For the Bio Planète medium fruity olive oil, we always select the batch from a pool of farmers that best meets our strict quality and taste standards. Sometimes we also carefully blend individual batches to achieve an even better and more balanced flavor result with this so-called "cuvée."

This medium fruity olive oil is recommended for consumers who appreciate the typical fruity-aromatic taste of olive oils but prefer to avoid sharp and bitter flavor notes. The flavorful and particularly balanced olive oil enhances typical Mediterranean dishes such as tomatoes with mozzarella, ratatouille, or moussaka.

Olive oil is considered an important component of the so-called Mediterranean or Cretan diet, where it replaces butter, among other things. As part of a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, using monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids instead of saturated fatty acids helps maintain normal cholesterol levels in the blood.
