Wild & Stone Vegan floss from corn starch, mint refill pack
Product details
Wild & Stone vegan dental floss made from corn starch, mint, refill pack. There are various materials that can be used to produce eco-friendly dental floss, including silk and PLA plastic. The former was not an option for us as we wanted our floss to be vegan. Instead, we use a bioplastic made from corn starch that can be composted. It is coated with natural candelilla wax and uses natural mint flavor. Our containers are made from glass and stainless steel and are designed for reuse. Vegan dental floss is a great way to take a small step towards a plastic-free world - this change makes a big difference.

Additional interesting information: If you’re like us, you may have several containers of dental floss sitting in your bathroom cabinet, collected after each dentist visit, where you swear you’ll remember to use floss better in the future. The bathroom cabinet is a place where plastic can easily accumulate, and dental floss is one of the worst offenders. Not only is the container made from a type of plastic that ends up in landfills and takes years to decompose, but the floss itself is made from nylon. Because dental floss is so small and lightweight, it often doesn’t get disposed of in landfills but is washed into the oceans. Unfortunately, the floss is designed not to break, which leads to a nightmare when it wraps around marine life.
