Instructions for use | To thicken liquids: 1. use the enclosed measuring spoon. First pour the required amount of powder into a clean, dry container/glass. 2. then pour the desired amount of liquid over the powder. 3. stir immediately until the powder is completely dissolved. Consume when the consistency recommended by the speech therapist or doctor has been reached. Do not add any additional powder to the thickened drink. Desired consistency (for 100 ml of liquid (water, juice, tea, coffee)):1 = slightly thickened - 1/2 scoop2 = slightly thickened (nectar-like) - 1 scoop3 = medium thickened (honey-like) - 2 scoops4 = very thickened (pudding-like) - 3* scoops1 scoop = 1.2g.* For level 4: heavily thickened liquids are assessed using the "fork drip test". It is the responsibility of the person administering ThickenUp Clear to ensure sufficient consistency of the liquid. |
