The Summum Ergo 55 shear model is the flagship of the Takai Technology line. Summum embodies the highest level of perfection. Visually, the Summum shear stands out not only for its powerful design but also for its dynamic blade featuring six punched holes on the top. These holes ensure optimal balance of the shear and also allow even the finest cutting hairs to be expelled rather than getting stuck between the blades.

Summum Steel: The ultimate in all steel types from Takai Technology. The alloy is enriched with vanadium, molybdenum, cobalt, chromium, tungsten, and manganese. This alloy is extremely hard (65° Rockwell, a unit of measurement for steel hardness) and durable.

Miracle Slit: In addition to the Hamaguri edge with seven cutting angles, the Summum shear features a unique characteristic: the Miracle Slit. This consists of 11 micro-grooves at the tip of the upper blade. These grooves hold the hair in place while cutting, significantly enhancing cutting effectiveness, especially for very thick, strong hair. Precise adjustment of cutting pressure with a micro-disc adjustment wheel mounted on a ball bearing.
