For cleaning the slightly open interdental spaces, medical toothpicks with a triangular cross-section from paro are ideally suited. The toothpick is particularly useful for removing embedded food particles and food residues lodged between teeth that are difficult or impossible to remove with a toothbrush. By moving it back and forth, plaque can also be removed from the interdental tooth surfaces. The soft toothpicks also have a massaging effect on the interdental periodontal tissue. By moistening the toothpick with saliva, it becomes pliable and easy to bend. Double-ended, single natural toothpicks can be used twice.
