Product details
The interchangeable monofilament according to Semmes-Weinstein is a neurological examination tool used to assess sensitivity in the feet and legs with a neuropen screening device.
The relatively stiff plastic thread bends at a defined pressure, usually 10 g. This pressure should be felt by a healthy patient when the monofilament is pressed to the point where it bends. If the perception of pressure is absent, there is a suspicion of neuropathy.
Due to the cost-effective instrument and the simple examination, monofilaments are perfectly suited for screening procedures for diabetic polyneuropathy.
Package contents: 5 pieces of monofilaments.
